Worms
It seems that most of the boys at the orphanage have worms, parasites, or other bacterial issues. Anne and Nilzania took four of them to the doctor today (at a free clinic). She took Rodrigo (who has sores all over his legs and arms), Junior (who has a huge white spot growing in place of hair on his head), Marcos (who has worms), and the oldest Marcos (who has a sore on his leg). Anyway, I wasn´t really aware of the extent of their sicknesses until yesterday when Germinia brought it to our attention. Rodrigo and Junior will go back to the doctor tomorrow for tests and we will take some of the others for an exam as well. Pray that we can catch their sicknesses before they continue to spread them to each other and me and Anne!!!
We gave the translated letters to the boys that some of the team members left for them. Some cried when they read them. Everyone seems to be a little emotional these days. Today was Linda and Eddie´s last day in Feira as well. Germinia cried when Eddie left. Pray for Linda and Eddie as they travel by bus to Salvador tomorrow (ALONE) and then fly to Forteleza. They will spend some time with missionaries Mark and Paige Anderson before returning to the States July 7.
Also, thanks for your prayers about housing for Anne and me! It seems that it just might work out for Anne and I stay in one of the student rooms upstairs in the girls´dorm. Technically, these rooms are supposed to be for students only, but we only need to stay there for 15 days. Looks like Pastor Agabo and his wife Magina just might let us stay there. YAY! Praise be to God! I will keep you updated!
